Are glass partitions soundproof?

Single-glazed partitions are not. For acoustic privacy we specify double glazing with an air gap, laminated glass, a seal to the structural ceiling and acoustic door seals. Done properly, a double-glazed partition gives meeting-room privacy.

What glass thickness do office partitions use?

Frameless partitions usually need 10 to 12 millimetre toughened glass because the glass carries itself. Framed partitions commonly use 6 to 10 millimetres. Always toughened safety glass.

Can partitions be installed while the office is in use?
